Team Pakistan Wins the

2019 French Open Mind Mapping Championship

Students were trained by Institute of Human Memory Development International and

the entire trip was Sponsored by Consultants for Our Future World (Pvt) Ltd. (www.cofw.co)

Team Pakistan trained by Institute of Human Memory Development International won 2 Gold Medals at the 2019 French Open Mind Mapping Championship which took place in Paris, France.

 

Entire trip was sponsored by Consultants for Our Future World (Pvt.) Ltd. (www.cofw.co). The event was organized by APAC Association of France and overlooked by the World Mind Mapping Sports Council, United Kingdom. Arbiters/Judges of GOMSA Guild of Mind Sports Arbiters were present at the event.

 

Team Pakistan first celebrated its victory in its debut performance in the 2019 U.K. Open Championships in London in which they won 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medals. The team then participated in the 2019 French Mind Mapping Championship and Shomie Alam won 2 Gold Medals. Competing against 65 competitors gathered from all across France, Shomie won Gold Medal position and the title of 2019 French Mind Mapping Champion as well as another Gold Medal position as the 2019 French Mind Mapping Champion, Freestyle Discipline.

 

Shomie Alam is a cancer survivor, who battled last stage Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. After a miraculous recovery, she pursued her life in making a difference in the lives of those affected by the same. Representing her country on many occasions, Shomie recently brought Pakistan into positive spotlight with her splendid performance by winning 2 Gold Medals for the country.

 

Sania Alam participated in the same event as the qualified Level 3 Arbiter/Judge.

Mind Mapping Championship

Discipline One – Note taking from a Lecture

Competitors were required to listen to a 25-30 minute lecture on a subject with no prior warning of the topic. Mind Map notes were taken during the lecture. An additional 20-minute time limit was given to create a second ‘tidied up’ version, submitted for marking.

 

Discipline Two – Note Making Freestyle

Competitors created a Mind Map on a subject of their own choice. Bonus points were given for creative expression within the Mind Map Laws.
